During Dr. Chiu's research on a tropical island this winter, the housing in which Dr. Chiu stayed in was caught on fire. Reporters described the flames reached at least a height of 50 feet on the one-story housing at a point, and an unknown number of propane tank explosions during the fire. While the fire happened only 20 feet away from the ocean, the entire housing was burnt down. All persons survived with one individual suffered severe burns in most extremities, all victims are subject to possibilities of post traumatic stress disorder.
